Gabrielle Judge Wants You to Find a Lazy Girl Job

The internet had a fit over quiet quitting earlier this year, and now everyone’s up in arms over the “lazy girl job.” Does this mean people don’t want to work at all? According to content creator Gabrielle Judge (who coined the term “lazy girl job”), it’s more about finding that mysterious unicorn called work-life balance. What does she want? A stable job with a comfortable salary, flexible work hours, and a work-from-home setup. When does she want it? Now!

As a self-proclaimed “anti work girlboss,” Gabrielle’s content criticizes toxic corporate cultures while encouraging her followers to create healthy boundaries at work. Not only is she gaining traction in the news, Gabrielle has turned this into a business, earning anywhere from $15K - $30K a month through brand deals and her digital products like the Lazy Girl Job Program, which helps her followers (146K of them) find better jobs. We had to know more – so we asked Gabrielle about her goals, the digital products she creates, and her tips for aspiring creators.

Little Extras

🚀 YouTube Shorts has taken off this year. To help creators kick it up a notch, YouTube has rolled out new features such as Collab (similar to TikTok’s Stitch), effects, stickers, and more.

🥽  Snapchat expands its monetization options with Lens Creator Rewards. How it works: Make an AR Lens, and if it performs well, you could earn up to $7,200 per monthy.

🧐  In the name of transparency, Meta is working on a new feature that notifies users when AI has played a supporting role in the content they’re seeing.

💔 The honeymoon is over for Zuckerberg. Threads activity is down by more than half, but time will tell if users want to make a long-term commitment to Meta’s Twitter dupe.

🗞️ Canadians, are you having issues seeing the news? The Online News Act requires platforms to pay publishers to share news, and instead of paying up, Meta is banning news content in the country.

🤑  Hustle culture got a Gen Z rebrand. Instead of taking their L’s in corporate jobs, they’re working on their W’s in the form of: financial freedom, meaningful work, and passion projects.

How To Create Your First Ebook

Ebooks are becoming hot digital commodities, and it’s likely because they’re more portable, more accessible, less expensive to create, and easier to distribute than physical books. The best part about publishing ebooks is that you don’t need to be the next Stephen King, you only need to have knowledge and insights that other people value.

Creators are exploring ebooks as a way to share anything from gaming strategies, self-improvement tips, recipes, exercise regimens, or even study guides. Whether they’re used as lead magnets to build an email list, or as a way to earn passive income, we know one thing for sure: ebooks are here to stay.

We can’t help you with the writing part (ask ChatGPT for that), but we can help you with the rest. We’ve compiled a comprehensive guide on how to create, design, and effectively market your very first ebook, so you can finally add “author” to your bio.

TL;DR

🦥  Gabrielle Judge wants you to get a lazy girl job. Speaking of working smarter not harder 🤓: Snapchat is rewarding AR designers, YouTube Shorts launched some creative new features, and why you should write and sell an ebook 📚.

🤔 Everyone is wondering: Will Threads be able to retain users? Will the Canadian government and Meta reach a deal over the Online News Act? Will Gen Z change the way we view hustle culture? Answer: we hope so. 🤞
